FACT partnered with KW2 to redesign its website to inspire youth to join the movement, expand access to resources, and make the site easier for staff to manage. The previous site was outdated, lacked a compelling recruitment message, and was challenging to update. The new design embraced a grassroots activism aesthetic—layered paper textures, newsprint headlines, Xerox-style graphics, and photo collages—paired with engaging parallax animations to energize visitors. Beyond the look and feel, the new site centralizes FACT’s mission, history, and top issues, provides easy access to youth and advisor resources, and drives users toward clear actions like joining FACT, signing up for the newsletter, and following on social media.
I led the project from discovery through development. We began with a stakeholder meeting to understand audience needs, content gaps, and functional priorities—such as highlighting top issues, showcasing events statewide, integrating resources previously stored on Google Drive, and improving recruitment pathways. From there, I developed the new information architecture and content strategy to reflect these objectives. After securing approval, I created wireframes and collaborated closely with our graphic designer to bring the activism-inspired visual concept to life. I then handled full in-house development, building the website from start to finish in Webflow, ensuring smooth animations, intuitive navigation, and easy client content management. The result was a visually striking, action-oriented site that reflects FACT’s energy and mission while making it a powerful tool for youth engagement and advocacy.
